From back in 2008, I had a side-label where I was releasing more housey and melodic stuff.
This was my ode to the 303 which was important in my beginnings in techno in the late 90`s acid techno scene.
This EP was recorded to my Studer G36 all valve reel to reel tape recorder not long after I purchased it and before I refurbished it.
I saturated the hell out of the mixes going through it, with +3db of drive, but even though the machine was yet to be refurbished, and so there was loads of hum and hiss, the sound is still very pure, and not breaking up at all, not bad for a machine made in the 1960`s. THIS is the sound of real vintage tape, and so I wanted the first release recorded on it to be full of analogue synths and sounds.
